Music and our philosophy to playing it.

We have a wide musical knowledge and hold several thousand songs in our music library. We constantly update our library with the latest chart songs.

Jon, our main DJ is in his early 50's and has been a 'music junky' all his life. He has a wide knowledge of music from the 60's to current chart music (which his teenage daughters ensure he gets to listen to). We have a wide interest in world music as well. We play the music that you (or your guests) request.

We ran a party for teenagers. Afterwards one of the parents commented what a great evening they had all had. I replied it was easy, we just played what they requested, he pointed out that was only possible because we had the songs they wanted to hear. If there are specific songs you want, just let us know in advance and we will ensure we have them (if they are available). We will also not play songs that you don't want to hear.

The only time we refuse to play something will be if we suspect it is intended to offend someone - we did have one teenager at a family party kept asking for 'Barbie Girl' - it was only requested as an insult to his cousin who was somewhat 'dressed up'. Normally, this can be established by asking if the person requesting is going to dance to the song, if not, we won't play it. We will advise if we think a request isn't in keeping with the mood at that moment and we will work to keep the dance floor busy. However, some nights, people just aren't in the mood to dance and we accept that too.
